Adero was founded by Stichting Veronica / V-Ventures, together with Louis Botha, who leads the business. Louis is a chartered accountant (CA(SA)) who's spent his career as CFO inside media and mission-driven businesses, the kind of companies we now work with.
The name Adero comes from Latin. It means “I will be there.”
We chose it because we believe the most valuable thing a partner can do isn't advice, or reports, or clever models. It's being there when the heat is on — the raise, the rough quarter, the decision you can't take back. That's the whole promise, and it's why we make it plainly:
